Job Summary

Our client, a physician-owned practice with a dedicated medical culture, is seeking a Medical Assistant with a passion for patient care. This role involves working within a GYN Oncology environment and supporting general clinical flow throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

• Work within a GYN Oncology Environment.
• Room patients and support general clinical flow throughout the day.
• Manage provider schedules and patient flow to ensure efficient room utilization.
• Take and document patient vital signs.
• Reconcile active medications and update patient records as needed.
• Perform standard depression screenings in accordance with clinic protocols.
• Check in patients and assist with front-end patient flow as needed.
• Clean and prepare exam rooms between patient visits.
• Stock exam rooms and maintain adequate medical supply levels.
• Balance and coordinate care for up to three overlapping incoming patients at a time.
• Monitor schedules closely to keep exam rooms available and prevent provider workflow delays.
• Chaperone office visits as needed.
• Support providers during visits by handing instruments and assisting with in-room clinical tasks.
• Assist with instrument sterilization and autoclaving.

Skills

• BLS Certification.
• Experience taking patient vitals.
  • Prior clinical experience preferred.
  • Experience within environments including Oncology, Palliative Care, Hospice, and OBGYN preferred.
  • Experience with Autoclave.
