Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Compounding Technician to join our team. In this role, you will prepare non-sterile hazardous and non-hazardous customized formulations while following established safety standards, quality protocols, and internal operating procedures. You will work closely with lead staff and team members to ensure all products are prepared accurately, safely, and on time.

Core Responsibilities

• Prepare non-sterile hazardous and non-hazardous custom formulations according to established USP standards, safety guidelines, and internal SOPs.

• Accurately measure, weigh, mix, label, and package custom compounds per precise formulation sheets.

• Maintain rigorous adherence to all safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous compounds and consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant lab and compounding work environment.

• Complete required batch records, logbooks, and compounding documentation with high precision.

• Assist with inventory control, including receiving, inspecting, rotating, and restocking active raw materials, inactive ingredients, and packaging supplies.

• Promptly report equipment maintenance needs, quality variances, or safety concerns.

• Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient workflow and timely fulfillment.

• Participate in ongoing safety training, quality assurance programs, and professional development.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

• Licensure Requirement: Ability and willingness to obtain a State Board Pharmacy Technician License/Registration after hire (employer support and guidance provided where applicable).

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in non-sterile compounding, chemical blending, laboratory formulation, or related specialized bench work.

• Technical Skills: Strong background in non-sterile compounding techniques, precision measurement/weighing, hazardous material handling, and basic computer proficiency.

• Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, strict adherence to written SOPs, solid mathematical calculation skills, strong communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule & Availability

• Employment Type: Full-time.

• Hours: Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend shifts based on operational needs.

• Flexibility: Standard operational schedules apply; advance notice will be provided for any required schedule adjustments.
