Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Insurance Verification Representative to focus on insurance-related tasks. Key responsibilities include conducting insurance verifications, obtaining authorizations, contacting insurance companies, discussing payment plans with patients, and providing support at the front desk as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Insurance verifications and obtaining authorizations
- Contacting insurance companies and discussing payment plans with patients
- Handling balances due and acting as a backup for front desk scheduling
- Occasionally opening the center as early as 5:00 AM or 6:00 AM to assist with front desk duties
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance/managed care
- Strong understanding of CPT codes, diagnosis codes, and contract reimbursements
- Ability to multitask, think critically, solve problems, and maintain attention to detail
- Preferred: Experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center or physician office/scheduling
Skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills with high phone interaction
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently
- Adaptable and flexible to changing tasks
