Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Benefit Specialist to join our client. The primary responsibilities of this role include providing comprehensive member support and advocacy, managing independent case loads, and collaborating with team members to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Member Support & Advocacy: Answer incoming member calls and handle member plan selections, providing end-to-end support.
- Independent Case Management: Manage a dedicated member caseload and resolve retiree calls and issues independently.
- Proactive Follow-Up: Conduct proactive outbound follow-up calls to ensure member issues are fully resolved.
- Team Collaboration & Projects: Assist with special team responsibilities, eligibility reviews, and billing tasks.
- Performance Metrics: Maintain an exceptional NPS target by delivering elite-level customer service.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Unmatched empathy and relatability with a genuine desire to serve a senior population.
- Highly receptive to hands-on, fast-paced training.
- Strong computer aptitude, multitasking skills, and comfort navigating databases.
Experience
- 1+ year of high-touch customer service experience is preferred.
- Prior familiarity with Salesforce or a similar CRM platform is a strong plus.
- Non-traditional backgrounds such as veterinary practices, medical front offices, or the hospitality and service industry are welcome.
Skills
- Technical skills: Proficient in using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
- Soft skills: Excellent communication, empathy, and customer service quality.
Additional Requirements
- Comprehensive paid training for 6 weeks with hands-on support starting in the first week.
- Standard post-training shifts run Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
