Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Multi-Specialty Medical Assistant responsible for coordinating pre-visit preparations, escorting patients to exam rooms, taking vital signs, and performing patient care procedures within the Medical Assistant scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinates pre-visit preparations and ensures relevant labs and tests are completed.
• Escorts patients to exam rooms and takes vital signs.
• Performs patient care procedures including injections and EKGs.
• Obtains blood specimens according to established procedures.
• Assists providers with office procedures.
• Prepares requisitions and submits specimens to the laboratory.
• Sends electronic prescriptions as instructed by providers.
• Communicates laboratory, imaging results, and prescription instructions to patients.
• Cleans and restocks exam rooms while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of MA/EMT experience.
• BLS certification.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with EPIC.
• Specialty experience and experience with minor procedures are strongly preferred.

Skills

• Technical proficiency in EPIC software.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.

Additional Requirements

Manager prefers candidates with EMT experience.
