Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to provide essential support to healthcare professionals by performing various patient care activities and ensuring the effective management of patient records.
Key Responsibilities
- Interview patients and measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient health records.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments.
- Administer medications, including injections, perform laboratory tests, and operate EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations.
- Perform administrative tasks, assist at the front desk, schedule appointments, make follow-up calls, and order medical supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma with hands-on externship completed from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC, or equivalent Basic Life Support for healthcare providers is required.
- BLS certification.
- CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants.
Experience
- Previous primary care experience preferred.
