Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant who will play a crucial role in assisting patients via telephone or other modalities, collecting health information, and supporting overall patient care coordination. This role involves working within a primary care team to ensure comprehensive health support services for both adult and pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients via telephone or other modalities as part of the primary care team, including responding to patient needs.
- Collect health information, vitals, and other history to be shared with providers and care team members.
- Provide health care support services as per clinic protocols and community practice standards.
- Support patient care coordination for all patient care needs.
- Handle calls and correspondence regarding pharmacy, lab, referrals, or other pertinent questions.
- Actively manage quality initiatives with providers and clinical care staff.
- Create and support an environment fostering teamwork, cooperation, respect, and diversity.
- Maintain positive communication and professional demeanor with co-workers and patients.
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
- Attend required training as requested.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or the equivalent.
- Currently holds a valid and active CMA certification/registration.
- 2+ years experience working as a CMA.
Experience
- 2+ years of experience working as a Certified Medical Assistant.
Skills
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to foster teamwork and maintain a professional demeanor.
Additional Requirements
- 4x10 Hour Shifts with 1 weekend every 3 weeks.
