Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join their Family Practice team. The selected candidate should be well-versed in back-office and front-office clinical workflows, patient triage, and preventative care. The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth, efficient experience for patients and healthcare providers.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Handle a high patient volume, safely and efficiently rooming an average of 20–25 patients per day.
- Maintain a high standard of clinical efficiency, aiming to room patients and initiate vitals within 10 minutes of check-in.
- Assist patients and providers with clinical inquiries, prescription refills, lab results, and specialist referrals.
- Perform routine clinical tasks including taking vitals, recording medical histories, administering injections/immunizations, and performing blood draws (phlebotomy).
- Partner closely with physicians and mid-level providers to assist with minor in-office procedures, setups, and patient charting.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems (e.g., Epic, NextGen, or specialized EMR) for precise documentation and charting.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma/GED and a Medical Assistant certificate from an accredited program (CMA or RMA preferred).
Qualifications
- 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience (Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Primary Care preferred).
- Strong proficiency in back-office clinical skills (injections, venipuncture, EKG, vitals).
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software and standard clinical charting protocols.
- Proven experience managing a fast-paced, high-volume patient schedule efficiently.

Schedule / Shift
M–F 8:00am–5:00pm PST (or 7:30am–4:00pm PST depending on clinic hours)
