Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Surgical Tech to join their team. The role involves hands-on participation in surgical procedures and coordinating various facets of surgical technology, including schedule management, inventory handling, and quality control audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Working scrub role: actively participate in surgical cases across the facility's full case mix.
- Coordinate workforce by managing technician schedules and monitoring staffing patterns.
- Collaborate with supply chain managers for inventory and materials management.
- Lead and develop the surgical technician team by providing training and performance monitoring.
- Oversee updates of surgeon preference cards and instrument tray lists.
- Assist leadership with audits, quality improvement initiatives, and accreditation inspections.
Qualifications
- Minimum of ten (10) years of dedicated orthopedic surgical technology experience.
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program with active national certification or state-mandated qualifications.
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing workflows and industry guidelines (AORN, AAMI).
- Proficient in computer literacy, including email, text processing, and clinical scheduling software.
- Flexibility to work variable operational hours based on the daily surgical schedule.
Experience
- A minimum of ten (10) years in orthopedic surgical technology.
Skills
- Technical knowledge of sterile processing workflows and industry guidelines.
- Proficient in computer literacy, particularly in using clinical scheduling software.
