Job Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to support the daily operations of a non-dispensing pharmacy environment. The primary responsibilities include managing prescription intake and workflow, supporting clinical reviews for appeals and case management needs, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily operations of a non-dispensing pharmacy environment in alignment with state and federal regulations.
- Review and process prescription orders/referrals to support patient intake; manage prescription transfer triage and communicate with relevant stakeholders.
- Assist with clinical reviews for appeals, Letters of Medical Necessity, and related case management needs; provide patient counseling or interventions for active programs as required.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, medication management, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to manage urgent operational needs independently.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of pharmacy experience.
- Prior experience in pharmacy leadership; Board Certification (BCPS, CSP, or relevant specialty) is a plus.
Skills
- Proficiency with standard digital workspace tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint).
Education
- BS or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited program.
State License
- Active Texas Pharmacist license in good standing (additional state licenses are a strong plus, with a willingness to obtain more if needed).
