Position Overview
A Pediatrics Facility is seeking a compassionate, high-energy Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) to join our team. This is a patient-facing, clinical role with minimal administrative tasks, focused heavily on delivering direct patient care to individuals ranging from newborns to young adults.
As a float pool provider, you will experience a dynamic work environment supporting our busy clinics across the region. This position is highly vaccination-intensive and perfect for a professional who brings a genuine joy, playfulness, and empathy to pediatric healthcare.

Compensation: $26.40 – $39.46 / hour (Dependent on experience)

Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week. Four 10-hour shifts per week (Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM). Includes a minor weekend rotation of approximately one Saturday (8:00 AM – 1:00 PM) every 6–8 weeks. No nights and closed for major holidays.

Position Type: Contract-to-Hire (Long-term retention focus)

Location & Modality: On-site. Must be willing to float between four clinic locations (Tacoma, Federal Way, and Gig Harbor). Schedules are provided one month in advance, and management works to allocate you closest to home.
Note: Tolls and mid-shift travel mileage are fully reimbursed, and commute time between clinics during a shift is paid at your hourly rate.
Key Responsibilities

Direct Patient Care: Room patients, obtain vital signs, and accurately document medical history in the EMR system (Epic).

Immunization Delivery: Administer a high volume of vaccines and injections safely to patients from infancy through young adulthood.

Procedural Support: Assist providers with clinical procedures including circumcisions, suture removals, and breathing treatments.

Clinic Operations: Sanitize and prepare examination rooms and patient spaces to maintain a safe, sterile environment.

Volume Management: Efficiently manage a high patient volume, averaging 18 to 26 patients per shift depending on the location.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Requirements:

Licensure: Active Medical Assistant - Certified (MA-C) credential through the Washington State Department of Health (DOH).

Certification: Current Healthcare Provider level CPR certification.

Clinical Comfort: Complete comfort and proficiency with high-volume pediatric immunizations and vaccinations.

Compliance: Ability to pass a standard health screening, criminal background check, drug screen, and comply with WA state healthcare vaccination regulations.
Preferred Skills & Experience:

Prior experience in Family Medicine or a Pediatric clinical setting.

Proficiency with Epic or similar Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with an externship in pediatrics.
