Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Front Desk Manager who will be responsible for coordinating patient check-ins and check-outs, managing smart scheduling for various appointments, ensuring insurance verifications and approvals, and handling patient communications. The role requires working at the primary location with flexibility to provide occasional coverage at other locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Coordination: Handle check-in and check-out for 70–100 patients daily.
- Smart Scheduling: Schedule appointments for doctors, in-house lab bloodwork, bone density scans, and ultrasounds across all three office locations.
- Insurance & Approvals: Call insurance companies and use automated web systems for insurance verification and prior authorizations.
- Patient Communication: Call patients for appointment confirmations, follow-ups, and relay administrative messages.
- Clinical Messaging: Securely message doctors regarding urgent patient issues requiring their attention using the EMR system.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of medical front desk experience handling high-volume patient workflows.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) required. eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience is a major bonus.
- Ability to remain accurate and calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to occasionally commute to different office locations if coverage is needed.
Skills
- Proficiency with EMR systems; experience with eClinicalWorks is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to handle patient interactions and coordinate efficiently.
