Medix is partnering with a healthcare facility to identify a skilled, patient focused Clinical Pharmacist for an exciting contract assignment. In this role, you will act as an integral clinician within the hospital’s pharmacy operations, ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical care.
Location: Northwest Wisconsin
Facility Type: Rural Inpatient Hospital
Start Date: July 20th or July 27th
Length of Assignment: 13-week contract with possibility of extension
Schedule: 40 hours per week (flexibility to scale to 32 hours per week if preferred). Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Includes a weekend rotation every third weekend from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
State License Needed: Wisconsin Pharmacist License
Compensation: $3,000/week (Travel) or $2,700/week (Local).
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor, and safely oversee pharmacy technicians to ensure compliance and accuracy in medication preparation.
- Manage pharmaceutical care for inpatient population, including behavioral health unit
- Review, interpret, and verify medication orders with a focus on inpatient care, infusion therapies, and oncology protocols.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary clinical team to optimize patient outcomes and ensure medication safety.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of hospital pharmacy regulations, policies, and procedures.
