Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Hospital Biller to join their team. The primary responsibility is to audit and resolve aged accounts receivable, manage denial claims, ensure compliance with Medicare regulations, and work collaboratively to streamline billing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- AR Recovery & Cleanup: Audit and resolve a high volume of aged accounts receivable (12+ months) to recoup revenue incorrectly written off by previous vendors.
- Complex Denial Management: Investigate, appeal, and resolve complex claim denials for both hospital (facility) and clinic (professional) claims within Epic Community Connect.
- Medicare Compliance: Ensure all Medicare follow-up, specifically for Critical Access Hospital (CAH) and Swing Bed programs, adheres to federal reimbursement regulations.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Identify and report recurring billing errors or "artificial" write-off trends to leadership to prevent future revenue leakage.
- Payer Reconciliation: Coordinate with insurance payers to secure payment for aired or stalled claims.
- Cross-Functional Troubleshooting: Work closely with IT and the Senior Billing Manager to navigate system nuances and streamline the remote billing workflow.

Additional Requirements
Starting out working M-F 8-4:30 PST and then can transition to their own time zone once up to speed, needs to be set shift and within normal operating hours.
