Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) – Bilingual Spanish
Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA (DTLA)
Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours Per Week
Schedule
Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Friday: 7:15 AM – 4:00 PM
Occasional rotating Saturday shifts may be required. If scheduled on a Saturday, another day off will be provided during the week to maintain a 40-hour work schedule.
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join a busy community-based dental clinic serving a diverse patient population. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, enjoys working as part of a collaborative team, and is committed to providing exceptional patient care.
This role supports dentists with clinical procedures, patient education, documentation, and front-office responsibilities to ensure a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the supervising dentist with approved extra-oral duties and procedures
- Prepare patients for dental examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Take and record blood pressure readings
- Operate dental X-ray equipment and perform oral photography
- Set up treatment trays and prepare operatories for procedures
- Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records
- Educate patients and guardians regarding treatment plans and follow-up care
- File, update, and maintain patient charts
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist with appointment confirmations
- Support clinic operations to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Fluent in both English and Spanish
- Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license issued by the Dental Board of California
- Dental Assistant Diploma or Certificate
- Current CPR Certification
- Pit and Fissure Sealant Certificate
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Dental Assisting experience
- Experience working in a Community Health Center (CHC) or Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
