Medical Assistant (CMA / CMA-Interim)

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Medical Assistant to join a busy Family Practice clinic in Everett, WA. This role offers the opportunity to work with patients of all ages in a fast-paced, community-focused healthcare environment while supporting providers in delivering exceptional patient care.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a high-volume setting, is comfortable balancing clinical and administrative responsibilities, and is committed to creating a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Room patients and prepare them for provider visits
- Obtain and document vital signs and patient medical histories
- Administer immunizations, including:
- Influenza vaccines
- COVID-19 vaccines and boosters
- Other routine vaccinations as needed
- Ensure vaccine documentation is accurately entered into the EMR and transmitted to the Washington State Immunization Registry
- Assist with managing provider in-baskets and patient follow-up needs
- Maintain accurate patient records within the EMR system
- Sanitize and prepare exam rooms between patient visits
- Support clinic workflow in a high-volume family practice environment
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and care teams
Qualifications
Required
- Current Washington State Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) license
- CMA-Interim candidates are encouraged to apply
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Preferred
- Experience using Epic EMR
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Prior experience in Family Practice, Primary Care, or Community Health settings
Work Environment
- Family Practice clinic serving a diverse patient population
- High-volume setting with approximately 50–80 patient visits per day
- Average patient flow of 5–10 patients per hour
- Medical Assistants typically room up to 18 patients per shift
- Provider-to-MA support ratio of approximately 1:1.5 when fully staffed
- Increased patient volume expected during back-to-school vaccination seasons
