Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Support Representative responsible for processing medical requests, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining communication and records management. This role aims to facilitate smooth departmental operations by providing accurate and timely data entry and serving as a primary point of contact for inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Process incoming medical requests by confirming patient eligibility, insurance coverage limits, and doctor information.
- Accurately document clinical information using standard medical terminology to ensure files are processed without errors.
- Ensure all requests meet specific state laws and company guidelines for healthcare utilization.
- Prepare files for medical review and escalate complex cases to Nurse Case Managers for further evaluation.
- Act as a primary point of contact for incoming calls, providing clear answers to inquiries or directing callers to the appropriate specialist.
- Organize and manage office communications, including physical mail and digital voicemails, to ensure timely responses.
- Build and maintain spreadsheets to track daily workloads and produce performance reports for management and external partners.
- Create and update "how-to" manuals and digital training tools to help the team maintain high standards and train new hires.
Qualifications
- Tech savvy
- Strong medical terminology understanding (Medical Records Clerk experience, CNA or LPN background)
- Excellent telephone communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Preferred: phone experience
