Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to act as a liaison between the transportation department, center staff, and participants. The primary responsibility is to ensure high-quality transportation services by coordinating dispatch, problem-solving real-time issues, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Coordinate with Opening Dispatcher to make route adjustments and resolve driver issues before they begin their routes.
- Facilitate communication between the transportation department, center staff, and participants regarding transportation-related questions or issues.
- Engage with participants, assisting them upon arrival and departure at the Center.
- Manage communication of any changes in transportation services with Dispatch Supervisor, drivers, center staff, and participants.
- Follow up on cancellations or no-shows and communicate relevant information to center staff.
- Review and act on the transportation hub email regarding participant profiles or schedule changes.
- Manage trip adjustments and prepare upcoming schedules, cancel open trips as needed.
- Assist with booking specialist appointments in the transportation software.
- Help schedule routes for the center or all centers for the next business day as needed.
- Maintain a professional and helpful attitude, responsive to all customer groups.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- 1-2 years’ experience in the dispatch/transportation-related industry.
- Experience in a customer service role demonstrating excellent service recovery skills.
Skills
- Experience specifically in transportation dispatch is preferred.
- Call center phone experience is a plus.
Schedule / Shift
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
