Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Contractor to collaborate with licensed rehabilitation professionals, supporting the delivery of patient-specific therapy programs aimed at improving mobility, function, and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with licensed rehabilitation professionals to support the delivery of patient-specific therapy programs designed to improve mobility, function, and overall quality of life.
- Carry out therapeutic interventions under the direction of a Physical Therapist, including guided activities, mobility training, therapeutic techniques, and use of approved treatment equipment.
- Observe patient performance and response to treatment, communicating progress, setbacks, or clinical concerns to the supervising therapist to support ongoing care planning.
- Instruct patients and caregivers on prescribed exercise routines, injury prevention strategies, safe movement techniques, and continuation of therapy goals outside of clinical sessions.
- Ensure timely and thorough completion of treatment notes, progress updates, and other required documentation in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience as a PTA.
- Must have an Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
- Current state Maryland licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Bilingual - Spanish/English (Preferred but NOT required).
Additional Requirements
Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (NO nights or weekends)
