Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sales and Office Assistant to manage mail processing and delivery operations. This role involves ensuring the accurate sorting and processing of inbound and outbound mail, inventory management, and maintaining confidentiality while adapting to evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately sort, process, and deliver inbound USPS and interoffice mail.
- Identify, separate, and handle outbound first class, presort, and priority USPS mail via postage meter.
- Monitor postage usage and refill postage meter as needed.
- Operate folder/inserter for outbound mail.
- Manage supplies and mail center inventory.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Update employee database and mail lists as required.
- Adhere to strict company confidentiality rules.
- Report weekly mail volumes to the manager.
- Adapt to changing needs and company growth.
- Uphold company EHS rules at work sites.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of standard mail center operations and shipping systems (USPS, UPS, FedEx).
- Proficient in organizing and tracking mail using standard systems.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Teamwork-oriented.

Additional Requirements
- Physical capability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Able to stand for long periods (sorting mail, operating mailing meter and folder/inserter).
- Physical mobility for frequent walking, moving, bending, and lifting.
- Ability to push and pull mail carts for deliveries.
