Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with 24/7 "phone ready" on-call accountability)

Compensation: $74.54 - $117.65 / hour (Plus eligibility for Leader Annual Incentive & Leader Time-Off programs upon conversion)

Position Overview
In this dynamic leadership role, you will assume 24-hour accountability for the administrative management and clinical delivery of a 40-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit and an adaptable 80-person Float Pool. Leading a combined team of approximately 120 employees (including RNs, CNAs, Unit Secretaries, and Patient Care Sitters), you will champion day-to-day operations, foster caregiver relations, and elevate the patient experience.
Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations: Oversee scheduling, payroll, and hiring decisions for both the Med/Surg floor and the Float Pool.

Clinical Leadership: Act as a supportive educator and mentor; step in to assist on the floor or cover lunch breaks when necessary to keep team morale high.

Quality & Performance: Drive quality improvement initiatives, multidisciplinary rounds, and monitor nurse-sensitive indicators and quality metrics.

Float Pool Engagement: Actively round across various units to maintain constant communication, visibility, and support for the highly versatile float pool staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required Skills & Experience

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or California RN license is strictly required.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing management/leadership experience.

Clinical Background: Solid clinical or leadership background specifically within Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry environments.

Certifications: Active BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications.
