Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide engineering support to production and product development. The primary responsibilities include developing processes, tooling, and equipment to reduce costs or improve quality of ongoing manufacturing. This role facilitates production plans by resolving potential interruptions to processes and equipment.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Provide engineering support to production and product development.
- Facilitate production plan by resolving potential interruptions to processes and equipment.
- Train production staff in new or revised manufacturing processes/methods and maintain training records.
- Report, document, and resolve any non-conformances associated with related product lines.
- Ensure proper corrective actions and preventative actions are implemented and followed through.
- Perform recurring validations of equipment, tooling, processes, and products.
- Support maintenance and repair of production equipment, fixtures, and tooling.
- Develop a preventative maintenance schedule and monitor its execution.
- Perform IQ, OQ, and PQ studies of new equipment, tooling, and processes.
- Create, revise, and review raw material specifications, product specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
- Serve as a technical resource in vendor and material selection and evaluation.
- Support Quality Assurance in developing improved inspection methods and equipment.
- Develop statistical control charts to determine process trends and eliminate deviations.
- Support new product development initiatives and lead process transfer from R&D into manufacturing.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
- Minimum B.S in Engineering or a related Technical Field.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (Medical Device or Aerospace).
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills.
- Adept in Word, Excel, and SolidWorks.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
