Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Screener to join their team at a hospital. The primary responsibility of the Screener is to ensure the safety and compliance of patients, visitors, and employees by conducting health and safety screenings at the hospital entrance.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients, visitors, vendors, and employees entering the hospital in a friendly and professional manner.
- Conduct health and safety screenings according to hospital protocols.
- Ask screening questions and verify compliance with visitor policies.
- Take temperatures and identify individuals who may require further evaluation.
- Provide masks or other PPE when required and explain hospital safety procedures.
- Control access to the facility by ensuring screening requirements are met before entry.
- Issue visitor badges or passes when appropriate.
- Provide directions and wayfinding assistance throughout the hospital.
- Escort patients and visitors to appointments, procedures, waiting areas, or other destinations when needed.
- Assist patients with wheelchairs and transportation within the facility.
- Answer questions and provide general information about hospital services and locations.
- Coordinate with departments, security, and patient services to address visitor needs.
- Enforce visitor restrictions and infection-control policies.
- Monitor entrances and report concerns or screening failures to appropriate clinical staff.
- De-escalate difficult situations and communicate calmly with upset visitors.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
- Collaborate with nurses, security personnel, and other hospital departments.

Monday - Friday
- 1 opening 7am-3pm shift
- 1 opening 8am-4pm shift
