Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to oversee the management and operations of document management within a hospital setting. The primary responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy and timely completion of legal medical records, scanning documents into a document management system, and managing various document processing and indexing tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Retrieve and reconcile records of discharged patients from all hospital units.
- Prepare documents for scanning according to departmental procedures.
- Scan documents into the document management system for indexing.
- Assist with management of document and EMR work queues.
- Verify and tag scanned documents for quality, rescan as needed.
- Evaluate and resolve discrepancies in documents.
- Ensure document types are consistently classified and placed correctly in the EHR.
- Create and verify patient encounters accurately for ambulatory indexing.
- Conduct patient interviews and verify vital records data.
- Perform document imaging and quality control.
Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in an acute care hospital with HIM experience.
- Experience with document management systems and computer/data entry.
- Proficiency in KSAs, EXCEL, Word, and basic computer operations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare team members.
- Preferred experience with Epic and OnBase systems.
Schedule/Shift
Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday with negotiable start times between 6 am and 8 am.
