Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Clinical Research Nurse to support clinical research studies. The role involves obtaining consent, documenting medical histories, performing protocol-required procedures, administering study medications, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The position's primary goal is to ensure participant safety, comfort, and retention throughout study participation.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and document informed consent, medical histories, and participant assessments.
- Perform protocol-required procedures including vital signs, ECGs, specimen collection, IV placement, infusions, and physical measurements.
- Administer and verify study medications in accordance with protocol and nursing standards.
- Monitor participants for adverse events and escalate clinical concerns as appropriate.
- Collect, process, and manage biological samples according to study requirements.
- Maintain accurate source documentation and study records.
- Ensure compliance with study protocols, SOPs, GCP, HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Support participant safety, comfort, and retention throughout study participation.
- Complete required protocol training and perform delegated study activities within scope of practice.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- Active WI RN license (could potentially consider LPN).
- Knowledge of GCP, ICH guidelines, and clinical research regulations preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and participant safety.
