Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Patient Access Representative to serve as the first point of contact for patients seeking healthcare services. This role requires excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills to support both call center operations and front desk patient registration. Responsibilities include assisting patients with appointment scheduling, healthcare program information, insurance verification, registration, payment collection, and enrollment in healthcare assistance programs. The position requires cross-training and flexibility to work in either the Call Center or Front Desk environment based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and process incoming calls promptly, professionally, and confidentially.
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding services, programs, policies, and procedures.
- Collect and accurately enter patient information into electronic medical systems.
- Maintain concise, thorough, and accurate documentation of patient interactions.
- Refer patients to nursing staff for medical advice and triage when appropriate.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments using electronic scheduling systems.
- Register patients accurately and efficiently for healthcare services.
- Verify insurance coverage and maintain complete and accurate patient records.
- Collect co-payments and manage cash transactions according to established procedures.
- Support team communication and resolve issues professionally and respectfully.
Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency required.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records, scheduling systems, and data entry.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

- Be willing to work at multiple locations or remotely, as required by business needs.
