Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Healthcare Technician responsible for managing a site-based product collection and recycling program within hospital environments. This role involves traveling between multiple facilities to ensure efficient recovery and processing of medical devices.
Key Responsibilities
- On-Site Operations: Conduct routine inspections of collection bins, package full containers for shipment, and manage facility-wide device recovery.
- Data & Reporting: Use a mobile application to log data, track inventory, and submit weekly activity reports to ensure program efficiency.
- Logistics & Maintenance: Manage supply inventory, handle project billing/cost tracking, and maintain the physical equipment used during service.
- Client Relations: Act as the primary on-site point of contact, coordinating with facility staff and responding to off-hours needs when necessary.
- Compliance: Maintain required healthcare credentials, adhere to strict safety protocols, and complete all necessary technical training.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous work experience required, with a customer service background preferred.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License, a reliable personal vehicle for site-to-site travel, and the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record search.
- Ability to push heavy collection carts and maintain a high state of alertness in a clinical setting.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain site-access credentials, including proof of immunizations and health screenings.
Skills
- Ability to drive and walk long distances.
- Willingness to be in a car driving for long periods, spending other time in hospitals collecting heavy items for transport.
- Ability to work with tablet and phone technology efficiently and quickly.
- Familiarity with hospital environments is preferred.
