Schedule: Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Pay Rate: $28.00 - $32.00 / hour (Depending on experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (MA) to join our occupational health team. In this role, you will perform a variety of routine and specialized screening tests, administer clinical exams, and provide essential administrative support to ensure the health and safety of our workforce.
Key Responsibilities

Clinical Screening & Testing: Perform vision testing (acuity, color, depth perception), audiometric testing, and pulmonary function tests (PFTs). Inform employees of results and recommended next steps.

Diagnostic Imaging: Perform routine X-rays within the scope of your Washington State registration.

Specimen Collection: Collect and prepare blood and urine specimens for internal and external lab analysis. Conduct breath alcohol and urine drug screenings.

Ancillary Clinical Duties: Measure and record vital signs, perform ECGs, and administer immunizations.

Documentation & Admin: Provide discharge instructions to patients. Accurately input data into the electronic medical record (EMR) system while strictly adhering to confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines. Assist with general administrative support duties as required.

Equipment Care: Operate, maintain, calibrate, and document the upkeep of medical testing equipment.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Licensure: Active Medical Assistant license or certification in accordance with Washington State regulations.

X-Ray Certification: Valid Washington State X-Ray Technician Registration is required prior to start. You are able to acquire this after job offer

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant; previous experience in an occupational health setting is highly preferred.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for patient instruction and team collaboration.

Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including the ability to learn a proprietary electronic medical records (EMR) system, navigate Outlook, and utilize basic IT servers/SharePoint.
Preferred Certifications (With Post-Hire Grace Period)

CAOHC (Audiometric) & NIOSH (Spirometry/PFT) Certifications: While these certifications are highly preferred, we recognize that most standard MAs do not hold them. They are not required to start. * Note: If you do not currently hold these certifications, you will be expected to obtain them within 6 months to 1 year of your start date, depending on class availability.
