Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our client's team. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist physicians, PAs, or NPs with clerical duties, patient flow, patient care, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the examination room and escort patients. Clean the room post-examination.
- Maintain efficient patient flow and ensure proper preparation for visits.
- Communicate & provide care according to patient needs.
- Schedule appointments and stock examination rooms accurately.
- Document vital signs and patient information in EHR.
- Enter orders and schedule appointments in Practice Management System.
- Adhere to safety precautions when administering medications.
- Facilitate the transition of care to UCC/Hospital.
- Provide scribing services and perform additional duties as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate/GED is required.
- 0-1 year of related work experience is required; 2-4 years is preferred.
- Basic proficiency in computer use is required.
- Ability to commute to satellite offices as needed.
- Spanish speaking ability, EPIC experience, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are preferred.
Experience
- 0-1 year of related work experience required, 2-4 years preferred.
Skills
- Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in using computers and relevant software.
Hours
Flexible schedule from Monday to Friday, working 8-hour shifts for a total of 40 hours per week.
