Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Call Center Representative who will be responsible for scheduling appointments in a courteous manner using a PC, confirming appointments, handling cancellations, and providing comprehensive service to resolve any caller request promptly and effectively. This telecommuting position requires maintaining computer skills to utilize applicable software efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule, cancel, and reschedule appointments using appropriate software as per established processes and policies.
- Confirm and update patient insurance and demographic information as necessary.
- Interface with clinical providers and nursing staff to fulfill patients' needs.
- Maintain necessary knowledge and skills and participate in ongoing training as required.
- Demonstrate that training can be integrated into daily work performance.
- Meet or exceed required accuracy expectations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- 1 year experience in a high-volume contact center or 1 year of customer service experience.
- Reliable internet is required.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette skills.
- Ability to speak, write, and understand the English language.
Experience
- 1 year experience in a high-volume contact center or customer service environment.
Skills
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Critical thinking skills and excellent customer service skills.
Additional Requirements
- Professional appearance when on camera for meetings.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week with varying shifts, primarily Monday-Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
- Preferred experience with insurance knowledge of HMOs, PPOs, POS, EPOs, and indemnity plans.
