Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to coordinate team-based medical care for children. The role involves preparing and maintaining accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with medical information upload requirements, providing medical updates to sponsors and family members, and actively participating in the development of medical resources prior to children's discharge.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Coordinate team-based medical care for children.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with agency policies.
- Review ORR portal for compliance and ensure timely updates.
- Provide medical updates to sponsors, family members, and clients.
- Participate in resource development for children's discharge.
- Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate medical needs.
- Establish partnerships with medical care providers.
- Provide documented information on delays in medical assessments.
- Attend meetings and represent medical needs.
- Coordinate medical resources for employees and family homes.
- Adhere to Child Abuse reporting requirements.
- Ensure task completion and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
- Supervise, coach, and mentor staff, providing guidance and corrective action when necessary.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a Bachelor’s degree (BSN).
Qualifications
- Open to new grad RNs eager for opportunities and passionate about the role.
- 2+ years working experience in child welfare preferred.
- 1+ years of employment in public health or healthcare, with experience in care coordination, health administration, or direct clinical care.
Schedule / Shift
- Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM.
