Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Outpatient Coder to enhance their coding accuracy and compliance. The role involves serving as a subject matter expert in clinical documentation and coding guidelines while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve organizational compliance and revenue cycle processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an organizational resource and content expert on clinical documentation and coding guidelines.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure continuous organizational compliance.
- Conduct regular coding audits and generate comprehensive audit reports.
- Review and evaluate CPT claim denials and offer actionable recommendations for resolution.
- Collaborate with various departments to address and resolve complex coding and billing compliance issues.
- Deliver educational programs to improve workforce coding accuracy.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of all compliance activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3–5 years of pathology coding experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with Epic, 3M, or similar coding technologies is preferred.
- At least 3 years of coding education, auditing, or training experience is preferred.
