Job Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join their team. This position involves administering chemotherapy and biotherapy medications according to guidelines, evaluating patient responses, and managing patient flow in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculate, prepare, mix, and administer chemotherapy and biotherapy medications safely.
- Evaluate patients for side effects, drug reactions, or changes in condition before, during, and after treatment.
- Draw blood, verify lab values, and document vital signs, medications, and patient data in the oncology EMR.
- Manage efficient patient flow through the infusion room.
- Assist with clinical phone lines, including patient triage and prescription refills.
- Provide education on treatment side effects and refer families to community resources.
- Maintain, clean, and stock the nursing workspace and patient chemo chairs.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of chemotherapy experience
- Current Arizona/Compact RN State Board of Nursing license
- Current CPR Certification
- ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Providers Card
- BSN preferred
- Onco Experience (EMR) preferred
- Bilingual preferred
Schedule/Shift
M-F, 9-5
