Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to play an essential role in delivering top-quality patient care. You will be responsible for providing direct patient care, assisting with procedures, and supporting patient wellness through education and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing direct patient care and administering medications
- Assisting with biopsies and surgical procedures
- Calling patients with test results & supporting MIPS initiatives
- Rooming patients and assisting physicians during examinations
- Collecting and recording patient health history and assessments
- Documenting care, medications, and responses in the medical record
- Handling non-emergent patient calls & giving physician-directed guidance
- Scheduling procedures and coordinating authorizations/referrals
- Managing prescription refills via phone, fax, or e-prescribing
- Supporting patient wellness through education and communication
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Experience with EMR systems & scribing
- Excellent communication & teamwork skills
- Dependability and strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow OSHA safety guidelines
- Strong computer literacy
- 1 year of recent medical office experience
- Current BLS certification
- Willing to get RMA/CMA certification (from any accredited org) prior to conversion
