Job Summary
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Echo Tech to perform high-quality, non-invasive cardiac ultrasound examinations on neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent patients. In this role, you will work closely with Pediatric Cardiologists and operate state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to evaluate congenital and acquired heart conditions in a fast-paced academic medical environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive transthoracic, transesophageal, and assist with fetal echocardiograms.
- Explain procedures to pediatric patients and their families, ensuring a calm, child-friendly, and comfortable environment.
- Obtain precise measurements, document hemodynamic parameters, and prepare preliminary study reports for physician review.
- Calibrate, maintain, and sanitize advanced ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal imaging quality and safety.
- Collaborate with Pediatric Cardiologists, nurses, and clinical staff to support multidisciplinary patient care plans.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA, IRB, and ICAEL guidelines for documentation and imaging standards.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or two years of college with a focus on biological sciences.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-5 years of specialized pediatric cardiac sonography experience.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) in Pediatric Echocardiography via the ARDCS, or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
