Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated X-Ray Technician to perform satisfactory radiographic procedures as requested by physicians. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring quality radiographs, and maintaining a safe and clean workspace. The ideal candidate will have strong patient communication skills to reduce anxiety and provide explanations during exams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform satisfactory radiographic procedures as requested by physicians.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and produce quality radiographs.
- Lift and transport patients via wheelchair and stretcher.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Gain patient cooperation by reducing anxieties, providing explanations of exams, and answering questions.
- Prepare patients for radiographic procedures with proper dressing/undressing and positioning.
- Minimize radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques.
- Willingness to float to other locations when needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- Certificate or Associate/Bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology required.
- State of Tennessee Medical Board X-ray Operators License required (application by start date is acceptable).
Experience
- ARRT certification required.
- Prior orthopedic x-ray experience preferred.
Skills
- Comfortable working alongside a manager who also runs active scans.
- C-Arm experience is a major plus.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to float between locations when necessary.
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm.
