Manufacturing Technician – Visual Inspector
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Manufacturing Technician to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing equipment, handling raw materials, and executing core production processes in a controlled cleanroom environment. A primary focus of this position includes performing visual inspections to detect defects, ensuring equipment operates properly, and verifying that manufactured products meet strict quality specifications. The ideal candidate will have specific, hands-on experience performing visual inspections on liquid products or liquid dosage forms.
Candidates must be available to work on 1st shift or 2nd shift for a total of 4-6 weeks for this short term assignment.
1st shift - 6am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday
2nd shift - 2pm - 10:30pm Monday - Friday (eligible for a 10% differential)
Key Responsibilities

Visual Inspection: Conduct thorough visual inspections using the naked eye to detect defects in manufactured products, with a strong focus on liquid dose forms, ensuring all items meet exact specifications.

Production Setup & Prep: Ensure the timely setup of equipment, media, and materials for each production run; plan and prepare all necessary resources for scheduled activities.

Material Handling: Weigh, measure, and check raw materials to guarantee that manufactured batches contain the correct ingredients and quantities.

Aseptic Processing: Demonstrate exceptional aseptic techniques with precise, deliberate movements while participating in product filling, cleanroom operations, and media fill qualifications.

Cleanroom Maintenance: Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance for cleanroom facilities, small parts, and specialized equipment.

Compliance & Documentation: Ensure strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) documentation standards. Maintain accurate Batch Production Records and assist as a subject matter expert for revising or improving manufacturing documents.

Packaging & Shipping: Prepare finished products for final shipment, including the secure packaging and labeling of vials.

Problem Solving & Autonomy: Work on moderately complex assignments requiring sound judgment to resolve routine problems. Receive general instructions on day-to-day work and detailed guidance on new assignments.

Flexibility: Adapt readily to changing business needs, production schedules, and potential shift changes.
Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a GMP-regulated manufacturing facility.

Technical Skills: Previous experience successfully completing Batch Records or equivalent regulatory production documentation.

Specialized Knowledge: Strongly prefer prior experience with the visual inspection of liquid products, vials, or liquid dose forms.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Soft Skills: An open-minded, collaborative team player with a positive demeanor and strong communication skills.
