Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Patient Access Representative to join their team. The primary responsibilities include providing excellent customer service to patients and their families, gathering and verifying patient identification and demographics, ensuring compliance with federal/state requirements, and handling registration-related tasks within the health information system.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, internal customers, and physicians.
- Gather and verify patient identification and demographic information.
- Collect and confirm registration data, including insurance information.
- Perform tasks related to price transparency and patient payment collection protocols.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state requirements and obtain necessary signatures on regulatory forms.
- Resolve registration errors and meet department productivity standards.
- Complete required trainings and participate in meetings and in-services.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Customer service experience.
- Preferred: Experience within Revenue Cycle.
- Preferred: Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience, preferably EPIC.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work rotating shifts scheduled one month in advance.
- Rotating Saturday coverage required once per month with Saturday hours from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
- Eligible for a $1/hour shift differential for weekend coverage.
