Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Building Manager to provide clinical office support, which includes greeting and registering patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance benefits and referrals, and collecting co-payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients with form completion; verify accuracy of patient's insurance and demographic information; provide HIPAA forms, arbitration forms, and consent-to-treat forms.
- Collect co-pays for services; verify and balance receipts and payments.
- Review schedule for new patients and update when necessary.
- Call patients with appointment time reminders, obtaining insurance information and referral forms.
- Prepare, distribute and collect fee tickets; review fee tickets for completeness; reconcile fee tickets with the daily schedule.
- Schedule return patient appointments and patient testing; validate patient's parking.
- Prepare patients' charts for daily appointments.
- Assist patients with insurance questions regarding billing processes.
- Assist staff with sending out reminder cards and other related scheduling duties.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent high school certification with two years of experience in a medical office setting or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Basic Life Support certification, which must be obtained within one month of hire date.
Skills
- Proven human relations and effective communication skills.
- Working knowledge of insurance, medical terminology, and computer skills.
Additional Requirements
Must obtain Basic Life Support Certification within 30 days of hire.
