Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant responsible for clinical operations and patient care. The role includes direct patient care, clinical support, laboratory services, and workflow coordination. Additionally, the position requires leadership in clinic operations and administrative management.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Room patients, capture vital signs, and document medical history, allergies, and reasons for visit per nursing protocols.
- Clinical Support: Assist physicians with examinations and procedures while maintaining clear communication to ensure quality outcomes.
- Laboratory Services: Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for processing.
- Workflow Coordination: Monitor physician schedules and organize patient flow to ensure timely visits.
- Daily Oversight: Serve as the primary point of contact for clinic operations, resolving immediate issues or escalating them to leadership.
- Staff Supervision: Lead front-line staff and delegate duties to ensure adherence to regulatory, billing, and customer service standards.
- Quality Assurance: Audit ordered tests for timely results and implement best practices in collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Training & Compliance: Conduct staff training, review care protocols, and enforce strict infection prevention guidelines.
- Resource Management: Monitor medical supplies and equipment functionality, reporting maintenance needs as required.
- Strategic Alignment: Act as an accountable steward of the organizational mission, core values, and departmental goals.
- General Support: Perform other duties as assigned to support relationship-based care and clinic efficiency.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- MA Certification
- BLS
Experience
- 1+ years of experience in a relevant field
- Family Medicine or Internal Medicine background preferred
Schedule/Shift
M-F, 4x10s - 7:30am - 5:30pm
