Position: PET Technologist (travel and local contracts available)
Location: El Paso, TX (Coverage across two local sites)
Facility Type: Outpatient Oncology Center
Start Date: ASAP, with on-boarding and compliance timeline (flexible if needed, just ask)
Length of Assignment: 13 week contract, 3 months to start with possible extension for travelers, & conversion for local's (only if client/talent have interest after successful contract concludes)
Schedule: Full-Time, 4x10-Hour Staggered Shifts (6:30 AM – 4:35 PM or 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
State License Needed: Active Texas State License
Pay: $3,400 weekly gross pay for travelers, $80/hr local rate (must be within commutable distance to facility)

Medix is partnering with a premier healthcare organization in El Paso, TX, to secure a dedicated and compassionate PET Technologist for a travel assignment. In this role, you will work within a high-volume outpatient oncology setting, utilizing state-of-the-art GE imaging equipment to deliver exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities

Perform high-quality PET imaging procedures strictly adhering to site protocols on GE equipment (including GE Discovery IQ and GMI scanners).

Manage daily patient volume effectively in a busy clinical setting (averaging 8–13 scans per day depending on staffing setup).

Work collaboratively alongside CT Technologists, Medical Assistants, and front-desk staff to ensure seamless patient flow.

Manage workflow and clinical charting across multiple systems, including Athena (scheduling), Mosaic (charging), and Carestream PACS (imaging).

Maintain a high level of administrative accuracy and complete all required back-end clinical documentation.

Provide empathetic, patient-centered care to individuals undergoing oncology treatments.
Required Qualifications

Active Nuclear Medicine Certification via ARRT or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).

Active Texas State License.

Active Hazmat Certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start).

Strong technical adaptability and proficiency in navigating multiple clinical software programs.

Excellent bedside manner, emotional intelligence, and ability to thrive in a high-volume team environment.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior background or experience working in an oncology setting.

Hands-on experience with Athena, Mosaic, or Carestream PACS systems.
