Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Master to review and consolidate the current Charge Description Master (CDM). The candidate will work within Epic EHR to maintain and configure Procedure Masters while ensuring compliance and revenue integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and consolidate the current Charge Description Master (CDM).
- Maintain and configure EAP records (Procedure Masters) within Epic EHR.
- Conduct charge audits and monitor revenue integrity processes.
- Manage the technical aspects of hospital-side billing, including UB04 claims and HIPAA 1500 forms.
- Review and clear National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) alerts and ensure adherence to Prospective Payment Systems (PPS), DRE, and local/national coverage determinations (LCDs/NCDs).
- Participate in meetings and collaborate with team members to align project goals.
Qualifications
- Must hold a current coding certification through AHIMA or AAPC.
- Preference for a Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) credential; a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) is acceptable if paired with 7+ years of experience.
- Magda will accept an Associate degree if the candidate meets the 7+ year experience threshold.
Experience
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in the revenue cycle space.
- Specific experience with CDM consolidation and "back to foundation" initiatives.
- Experience in an urban, large-scale healthcare system.
Skills
- Technical proficiency with Epic EHR.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
