Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented OBGYN Medical Assistant to join our women's health team. In this role, you will act as a primary point of clinical contact for our patients, providing support through all stages of reproductive health, including prenatal care, gynecology, and surgical follow-ups. The ideal candidate balances technical clinical proficiency with a warm, empathetic bedside manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Support:
- Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document chief complaints and medical history in the EMR.
- Prepare patients for pelvic exams, pap smears, and colposcopies; provide chaperone services and assist the provider during procedures.
- Perform urine dips, pregnancy tests, and glucose screenings. Collect and process specimens (blood, swabs) for lab transport.
- Administer vaccinations and medications (e.g., RhoGAM, Depo-Provera, TDAP) as directed by the physician.
- Administrative & Patient Coordination:
- Answer patient phone calls regarding prescriptions, test results, and post-operative concerns under the guidance of a licensed provider.
- Coordinate surgical procedures and high-risk obstetric referrals.
- Clean and sterilize surgical instruments using an autoclave; maintain exam room cleanliness and inventory.
Qualifications
- CMA Required
- 3 years of OBGYN or Family Medicine experience
- Travel to Columbia 2 Tuesday's per month

Additional Requirements
Required to travel to Columbia Satellite Office twice per month
