Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a large outpatient OBGYN practice as part of a renowned NYC health system. The role is based in triage, providing support for Labor & Delivery physicians and surgeons in a desk-based clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide telephone and outpatient triage support for OBGYN and Labor & Delivery patients.
- Assess patient symptoms and escalate urgent clinical concerns appropriately.
- Coordinate care with physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Review patient charts, document encounters, and manage EPIC in-basket messages.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, prenatal/postpartum concerns, and follow-up care.
- Schedule follow-up appointments, testing, and specialty referrals as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Qualifications
- Active NY State RN License required.
- BSN required.
- Strong Labor & Delivery nursing experience required.
- Prior OBGYN or women’s health experience preferred.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume outpatient and desk-based triage setting.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
Experience
- Minimum of several years in a relevant field, particularly Labor & Delivery.
Skills
- Technical skills: obgyn, labor and delivery, postpartum, BSN.
- Preferred technical skill: Epic.
- Soft skills: strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
