Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a large outpatient OBGYN practice as part of a renowned NYC health system. The role is based in triage, providing support for Labor & Delivery physicians and surgeons in a desk-based clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide telephone and outpatient triage support for OBGYN and Labor & Delivery patients.
• Assess patient symptoms and escalate urgent clinical concerns appropriately.
• Coordinate care with physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Review patient charts, document encounters, and manage EPIC in-basket messages.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, prenatal/postpartum concerns, and follow-up care.
• Schedule follow-up appointments, testing, and specialty referrals as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Qualifications

• Active NY State RN License required.
• BSN required.
• Strong Labor & Delivery nursing experience required.
• Prior OBGYN or women’s health experience preferred.
• Comfortable working in a high-volume outpatient and desk-based triage setting.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.

Experience

• Minimum of several years in a relevant field, particularly Labor & Delivery.

Skills

• Technical skills: obgyn, labor and delivery, postpartum, BSN.
• Preferred technical skill: Epic.
• Soft skills: strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
