Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Representative to support new client implementations by managing claims and AR activities. The role involves actively participating in onboarding discussions, providing operational feedback related to billing processes, and handling production coverage during staffing transitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support new client implementations by managing claims and AR activities within client billing systems and internal workflows.
- Participate in onboarding discussions and provide operational feedback related to billing processes and workflow efficiency.
- Assist with production coverage during staffing transitions and onboarding phases.
- Navigate multiple payer portals, clearinghouses, and practice management systems efficiently.
- Identify workflow gaps or process inconsistencies and escalate recommendations for improvement.
- Perform claim follow-up, denial resolution, appeals, and payer communication in alignment with client-specific procedures.
- Create and maintain documentation related to workflows, payer requirements, and operational exceptions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to identify system or process improvement opportunities tied to claims performance.
- Conduct quality reviews and help ensure billing accuracy and compliance during onboarding transitions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in medical billing, insurance verification, AR follow-up, denial management, or related revenue cycle functions.
- Experience working directly within a healthcare provider setting such as a hospital system, physician group, or specialty practice.
- Strong understanding of payer portals, clearinghouse processes, and multiple practice management systems.
- Experience resolving a variety of denial types including authorization, medical necessity, timely filing, COB, and coding-related denials.
- Familiarity with appeals workflows, including drafting appeal documentation and supporting material.
Skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new systems, workflows, and client environments.
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills in fast-paced operational settings.
