Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Patient Access Representative who will be responsible for verifying patient identities, collecting demographic details, obtaining necessary consent, and verifying insurance. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring accurate medical records and proper billing procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Identity Verification: Confirm the patient's legal name, date of birth, and government-issued ID.
- Demographic Collection: Gather essential contact details, next of kin, and employer information.
- Consents & Legal Documents: Obtain patient signatures for treatment consent, privacy policies, and financial responsibility.
- Insurance Verification: Scan insurance cards and verify active health coverage using software like Epic.
- Point-of-Service Collections: Process emergency room copayments or deductibles when appropriate.
- Coordination of Benefits: Determine responsible insurance provider for billing.
Qualifications
- Entry-level experience is preferred; candidates from retail or hotel backgrounds transition well.

- Ability to work without personal electronic devices during shifts.
- Compliance with health policies, including necessary vaccinations.

Additional Requirements
- Must be open to working 12-hour shifts if needed.
- Urgent coverage needed for weekends, with potential for weekday shifts.
