Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Billing Specialist responsible for higher-level analytical work, including the billing of individual and group invoices, tax form preparation, and error resolution. The ideal candidate will coordinate efforts with various teams and manage complex financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Higher-level analytical work.
- Actual billing of individual and group invoices.
- Preparation of Schedule A 5500 tax form for groups.
- Error resolution and analysis.
- Coordinate efforts with various teams, including IP, Group, Sales, and Enrollment.
- Physically print invoices for the mailroom.
- Accurately balance and reconcile health plan accounts receivables.
- Manage complex financial transactions, including posting payments and processing refunds.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Respond to billing inquiries and explain government policies.
- Utilize multiple computer programs to identify outstanding balances.
Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- 5 years of related experience in finance or banking.
- Accounts Receivable background.
- Billing experience with a high volume of invoices.
- Proficient in Excel for complex reconciliation tasks.
Skills
- Technical skills in Excel and financial reconciliation.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
Additional Requirements
- M-F, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with potential for extended hours/weekends during peak enrollment seasons (January).
- Free parking available.
- Possible conversion to full-time employment.
- In-office requirement for at least the first 6 months, with the potential to transition to a hybrid schedule.
- Three months of training with quizzes to ensure understanding.
