Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Medical Front Desk Specialist to join the team and help deliver an exceptional experience for patients and visitors from the moment they walk through the door.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome and assist patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Enter basic demographic and insurance information into the system accurately.
- Collect co-pays and outstanding balances at the time of the visit.
- Verify insurance coverage and confirm eligibility.
- Secure referrals and authorizations when necessary.
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently and accurately.
- Willingness to travel to other office locations within Sussex, Warren, and Morris counties, as needed.
- Participate in a rotating weekend schedule as required.
- Support the Office Manager with various administrative and clerical tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a medical receptionist.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is required.
- Ability to travel to other locations in Sussex, Warren, and Morris counties as needed.
- Background in orthopedics is a plus.
Skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-focused, positive attitude.
