Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to perform disability and compensation examinations for Veterans. The role involves reviewing and assessing Veteran's medical histories, performing physical evaluations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care for Veterans seeking benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform disability and compensation examinations for Veterans
- Review Veteran's medical history, including highlighting applicable portions to the Veteran's claim
- Conduct physical evaluations ensuring charts are submitted within 24 hours
- Order and interpret labs and other diagnostics
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team
- Provide quality compensation and pension examinations
- Obtain in-depth health histories regarding specific conditions
- Diagnose and provide medical opinion decisions based on examinations and claims
Qualifications
- NP only
- Ability to perform thorough physical evaluations and accurately document findings
- Experience in obtaining comprehensive medical histories
- Skills in ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Collaborative approach with interdisciplinary teams
