Job Summary
Our client, a leading New York health system, is seeking a highly organized and patient-focused Practice Administrator to support daily operations within a busy outpatient practice. This individual will serve as a key point of contact for patients, providers, and clinical staff while ensuring an efficient and welcoming office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Answer and route incoming phone calls efficiently.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
- Manage and respond to EPIC in-basket messages, forwarding requests to the appropriate department or provider.
- Maintain and file patient paperwork and medical documentation accurately.
- Verify patient demographics and insurance information.
- Support front desk operations and administrative workflows.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior healthcare, medical office, or front desk experience preferred.
- Experience using EPIC EMR strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
